Having said that, considering this is the first time the franchise is appearing on a platform other than the PC, I imagine there are a lot of console gamers out there like myself who are wondering if they should invest in yet another sci-fi first-person shooter. To be honest, I’d be terrified to cross into triple digits on roads so narrow. But to be able to experience such a feat in a safe environment is divine. Dirt 3 delivers this power, reminding rally nuts what a fun ride this series is.

The driving in Dirt 3 feels tight and responsive, and the six tuning options return to balance out any terrain type. Driving through Finland, Michigan, Norway, LA, Kenya, and Monaco feels superb. Cars respond effectively to the slightest control touches and the need for tight braking stands out. Every slide from gravel onto tarmac or snow feels significant and the variations require extreme concentration. When competitors kick a spray of snow onto the windshield, the effect is appropriately chaotic. The addition of rain, snow, and nighttime driving is not simply cosmetic – headlights are required, wipers stay busy, and tires are tested… Read More

Yes it is an open world game but it has its limits. You can not recklessly do things the way you would in other Rockstar games. Younger people may not appreciate this games worth. You are a cop and things should be the way they are in this story.

Gameplay-
As far as gameplay goes. This isn’t really action driven and it shouldn’t be. In order to solve cases, you have to interrogate and search for clues. The authenticity of those activities is amazing. There are shootouts and sometimes you may have to make the tough decision shoot someone but it does a great job of making you feel… Read more

A number of other new gameplay mechanics have been added as well. But her journey isn’t the only action you’ll get out of Portal 2. The developers are creating an entirely separate co-op campaign where you and a friend work together to solve the mind-bending puzzles at hand. This campaign will revolve around two robots that can operate their own portal guns and give big robotic hugs. Adorable.

Using a highly experimental portal device, you’ll once again face off against a lethally inventive, power-mad A.I. named GLaDOS. And this time you won’t be alone. Meet an expanded cast of characters as you think your way through dangerous, never-before-seen areas of Aperture Laboratories.

Break the laws of spatial physics in ways you never thought possible, with a wider variety of portal puzzles and an expansive story that spans a single player and co-operative game mode… Read More

Dead Space 2 is an amazing game. I’m going to write about its scary moments, cool kills, and how much I dig the main character’s internal struggle, but Dead Space 2 is about more than this. When I beat it for the first time, I sat on the couch with my heart racing and dissected the journey I had just taken. Then, I started my second playthrough, and when that was done, I jumped into a new game for the third time. Dead Space 2 is just that good.

It’s been three years since the events of the first game, but protagonist Isaac Clarke still can’t catch a break. At the beginning of Dead Space 2, he wakes on a space station known as the Sprawl and finds the place is overwhelmed by an outbreak of reanimated corpses called Necromorphs. From the very first moment of the game, Isaac’s fighting for his life… Read More
It comes off as obnoxious and crass, full of toilet humor, emphasizing a sort of dickish boldness and attitude that’s been driven into the ground by countless shooters over the last few years. The “kill with skill” tagline and profanity laced combo names seemed so hollow when free of any context. To coin a phrase, it seems like Bulletstorm is compensating for something.

So it’s a surprise then that Bulletstorm is actually something kind of special. Sure, it’s still brash, and it’s still full of toilet humor, but with context, Bulletstorm is a violently charming popcorn shooter that plays well with some great design.
From the time of its introduction in 2001, Burnout has taken the position of one of the most successful vehicular franchises. Over the years the exciting series of Burnout has been improving steadily keeping itself updated and interesting. Now, the Burnout Franchise makes a return to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with the brand new and interesting gameplay titled as “Burnout: Paradise”.

For quite a time Burnout: Paradise was creating so much hype all around to be the most awesome game ever. Whether it is pure anticipation, or instinct of the fans, however since the moment gamers had their hands-on the demo it was really impressive to unveil the great strides the gameplay enveloped.

The expansion of the overall gaming session together with the integration of an entirely open-world system, adds up to the positive aspect of this newest revelation of the Burnout series. The open-world system introduced in Burnout: Paradise has taken a toll to a complete new and enhanced gaming experience. Players will be able to drive around and face new challenges periodically all through out the game. Moreover, all the events in the gameplay will occur on a single map, thus it will immensely help to drive a bit around and get the real feel for the area. The map gives you the opportunity to drive around and monitor your surroundings.

Despite of the fantastically designed gameplay, it is also worthwhile to notice the graphics involved in the game is pretty much awe-inspiring. The vehicles, as well as locales, with vivid details appear like life-sized objects. The surrounding appears to be very much clear and smooth.

There is much to explore and experience in the Burnout: Paradise with huge portion of challenges to confront blended with plenty of fun. Watch out this awe-inspiring series of Burnout to cherish an unforgettable gaming experience.

To explain in one word, this new game for the Xbox gaming console is simply “amazing”, and this game is extremely intensified and vigorous as there is lot more in stock for gamers than just completing the main quest line. Once you are done with the main quest line, the choices you make in the gaming session will determine the outcome of each and every phase. Moreover, the association of a faithful dog companion in the Fable 2 is truly an incredible part of artificial intelligence that will assist you to fight and locate treasures throughout the game.

Next, the customization is also a plus point, and significantly the option to swap into female in the gaming session might appeal to a few female gamers, who for so long craved for such customization. Furthermore, the female gamers will doubtlessly love the collection of diverse clothes and hair styles which is in store for them to choose from. Initially, you will find the graphics breathlessly amazing along with fascinating decals given to indoor as well as outdoor landscapes. One of the drawbacks of the Fable 2 game is the slow-paced loading speed. It might take up to 30 to 40 seconds extra, but it’s somewhat acceptable as the huge game that is fitted into such a small disk explains on behalf of the speed.

Nevertheless, the one button combat system offered by Fable 2 is indeed an incredible idea that fully assists the gamers to rapidly pull out a weapon and attack instantaneously. In my opinion, the Fable 2 actually outruns the original version of Fable, and I highly recommend this game for any occasion. Try it out!

The original version of Skate took many gamers by surprise when it was released last year, but unfortunately the game didn’t have much room for the newcomers. Finally, after taking a complete year off in order to rethink the entirely different approach to suit all gamers, Skate 2 came into existence. It seems as if Skate 2 is aimed to take the opportunity of constructing upon the enormous success of the initial title to unveil a mind-boggling skateboarding series.

With Skate 2 the players are enabled to skate the streets of New San Vanelona packed with breath-taking twists. Even though, technically it is the same city which is displayed in the original game, but the occurrence of changes within the 5 years has set the two games apart. Players will encounter handful of surprises with every turn. However, the greatest change can be observed in the two entirely new areas- a waterfront selection in addition to a wooden mountain region.

The waterfront part is comprised with lots of ramps, rails, and amazing beaches, which can efficiently come handy to frame up some detailed tricks for spicing up the gaming session. To a naked eye, the view of the waterfront is incredibly gorgeous, along with great architectural design couple with blue titles to grasp immediate attention. Where on the other hand, the mountain region is comparatively less attractive visually but it definitely unveils most excellent rustic skating opportunities. Despite from picnic tables as well as toiling guide rails, the mountain region proves to be a whole new experience for the gamers.

Skate 2 is well-designed packing up all the attention-grabbing and ingenious tricks under one game. Moreover, the game is shaping up quite well, with fantastic graphics and numerous interesting add-ons which is surely a treat for Xbox gamers.

The pitch falls somewhere between Grand Theft Auto and STALKER: that is to say, a mission-based, vehicle-dominated sandbox title with an emphasis on ‘realistic’ combat. Placing straight-up first-person action in a freeform world is something that works perfectly, and it’s a wonder no one’s really attempted this before. Interspersing visceral gun battles with periods of quieter travelling, without worrying about the statistics or heavy exploration of its freeform role-playing counterparts, proves to be a mightily successful formula for the most part, adding real weight to the genre’s trigger-happy conventions. Far Cry 2 feels staggeringly natural in its enormity, and it’s hard to imagine it passing without a range of copycat efforts in the near future.

For one thing, even the most expertly crafted linear games have moments where it’s plainly obvious you’re being barred from entering somewhere. In Far Cry 2, this is simply never an issue. Even upon reaching the outer regions of the permitted playground, it feels like a perfectly natural place to stop. Almost all of its ramshackle buildings are enterable, all of its desert traversable. In this respect, and a great many others, Far Cry 2 takes immense care never to remove you from its gritty, war-torn world. It rarely funnels you down a specific path. It never breaks its first-person, in-game viewpoint – not even to look at a map. In every way that matters, Far Cry 2 is blisteringly immersive, from the first second until the very last.

It’s an isolating place, this conflict-ridden Africa, and the sense of sheer vastness to the environment can be beautifully overwhelming. Some may find the interesting approach to Far Cry 2′s opening confusing and unfocused – and, without any doubt whatsoever, it can be. But the premise is fresh and exciting. After a brilliant intro sequence, a short and unexpected meeting with The Jackal (an arms dealer you’ve been sent to kill) and a hasty escape from the town, you’ll find yourself dropped back into the world at one of four different locations – depending on which direction you chose to flee in. The characters you’ll meet, the faction you’re likely to side with and the hub of main missions you’ll undertake depend on your starting location, and your task is as vague as it gets: work out where The Jackal went, and kill him. Go.

It’s such a wonderful, open set-up that I ended up taking it for granted that each individual mission has a multitude of ways to complete it. Far Cry 2 introduces you to some key faces you might like to have a chat with, then holds your hand very little until the next big plot movement. My only reservation is that, as a result, there tend to be long stretches where the narrative gets put on hold, just to ensure everyone is moving through the story at the same pace. When it branches out, it does so admirably, but you know you’re always going to rendezvous with the other branches at the next predefined point.

I’m not usually one to harp on about the aesthetic qualities of a game, but with Far Cry 2 it’s particularly relevant. It looks amazing, though you already knew that. The pre-release screenshots have been wowing potential players for many months now. But these static images come nowhere close to conveying just how remarkable the Dunia engine is, and how far it goes to bringing this world to life. Wind howls through the trees, swaying their branches and rustling their leaves, casting astonishing dynamic shadows on the ground below. Throw a grenade and the ensuing blast radiates fire all around, which then spreads among the shrubs and grass until the entire area is ablaze. Groups of wildlife go about their everyday life, disturbed only by gunfire, traffic noise, or the threat of rain. As the sun sets, plumes of smoke from distant campfires peak over the horizon.

Far Cry 2 is all about the experience: living the game. For atmosphere alone, it’s almost unrivalled, and the gorgeously satisfying gunplay is some of my favourite in recent memory. In fact, Far Cry 2 gets so much thrillingly right that, when it lets itself down, it seems to do so far more dramatically than it should. It makes the sort of mistakes expected from a far inferior game, which is a crippling shame given the overriding quality on display here.

I’ve heard people complain about the respawning enemies: guard posts and check-points repopulate just a few minutes after you’ve cleared them out. I don’t see a problem with this – indeed, it’d be hard to imagine a different approach. If they died for good, it would be theoretically possible to spend the first few hours methodically picking off all opposition, then to simply drive from location to location until the end of the game. What does strike me as idiotic, though, is the over-zealous positioning of these guard posts on the map. It sounds an odd criticism of a shooting game, but there are just far too many enemies in Far Cry 2. Every minute or so of driving, there’s another set of militia blocking the way – and, unlike during the intro sequence, where you manage to talk your way past these baddies, fighting them off is the only option. As a result, the game often degrades into a repetitive structure of ‘drive, get out of car, kill guards, get back in car, repeat’, until finally arriving at the necessary location, where you’ll inevitably end up killing a whole lot more enemies. This doesn’t really affect the first few hours, while the childlike joy of this huge sandbox still remains, but once the repetitive nature of the game becomes apparent, it’s difficult to shake it from your mind.

The threat of being gunned down every few hundred yards also discourages the heady exploration that the free-roaming world compels you to engage in. There are some wonderful treasures to be found in Far Cry 2: brilliant locations, beautiful scenery and cases of diamonds. But when it’s highly likely that deviating from the path will result in your demise, it becomes infinitely more sensible to just stick to the set route of your current mission. Counter-intuitive, and disappointing. I also found myself getting lost an inordinate amount of times, largely thanks to a combination of winding roads, a fiddly map system and waypoint markers that disregard the giant, impassable mountain range in the centre of the first region.

I’m disappointed in the level of world-interaction, as well. You can shoot through the walls of a wooden hut, but lob a grenade through the door and the structure stays intact. The physics are fancy, but there’s no real way to take advantage of them. And there’s an odd glitch when trying to talk to characters, that means you have to be standing in exactly the right place for the ‘use’ button to work. Frustrating.

And the voice acting will split opinion, I would imagine. Personally, I liked it: it feels natural, flowing and understated, just like real speech is. I’ve talked to other people who think all the characters sound bored, or talk too quickly to understand. That might seem like a minor point, but with a story that’s often confusing as it is, having unintelligible NPCs could go some way to ruining your game. Tread carefully.

Ultimately, Far Cry 2 is carried by its two ‘I’s: immersion and innovation. It’s exciting, forward-thinking and unbelievably atmospheric: the closest anyone has yet come to a real, living, breathing world. But it also suffers from some questionable design choices, ones that limit the potential freedom and fun-factor this game strives so hard to provide. It’s almost brilliant, and future attempts to follow the same formula will undoubtedly prove even more successful. For now, Far Cry 2 is still an exceptionally enjoyable game, and an encouraging sign of things to come.

The Top 10 Best Xbox Games should be a no-brainer, an easy to compile list of ... Here are, in our opinion, the best all-around games on Microsoft's Xbox. ...

1. BioShock

2K Games
BioShock is an amazing video game. It is the best Xbox game by far, not only the Xbox 360, has yet seen, and will probable go down as one of the best Xbox games ever on any console. It is just one of those rare video games that combines not only remarkably elegant graphics and sound, but very firm, full of meaning, complex game play, aa amazing story, and an overall emotion of interest that sucks you inside and keeps you playing that a small number of other titles can equal. BioShock is a must have for Xbox 360 owners.

2nd. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Bethesda/2K games

After all of the buildup and delays and waiting and nerve-racking, Bethesda has delivered The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. In an uncommon act for a video game of this scale, it not only lives up to potential but as well surpass them to make an experience that everybody can take pleasure in and not just the geeky, dice rolling, RPG-elite. Oblivion is one of the finest video games accessible right now and is fit the price of 60 bucks.

3rd. Halo 3

Microsoft
Halo 3 is the greatest Halo so far and one of the greatest video games accessible on the Xbox 360. Each particular aspect of the game is elegant to near-perfection from the appearance to the campaign to the multiplayer; Halo 3 does the whole thing remarkably well and adds in a group of new bells and whistles to actually put it all above the peak. And on top of all else, Halo 3 is one of the overall best values in the business. You will be playing this for weeks and likely years to come.

4th. Fallout 3

Bethesda
And now for a GNR intelligence update. Once years of waiting, Fallout 3 has at last hit store shelves. It isn’t the similar type of video game as the earliest two entries in the string, but it as well isn’t a hardcore shooter and it surely isn’t just Oblivion in the company of firepower. It is a huge mix of pleasing discovery, gory battles with dreadful enemies, as well as a grand story in a breathtaking setting that will hold you for 50-60 hours. It is an remarkable video game that we extremely advise.

5th. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Activision
Goodbye World War II. Hi modern warfare! Call of Duty has completed the leap from the heroics of the supreme production to a horrific dream of the future in Call of Duty 4, and the outcome is pretty darn impressive. The single-player campaign is full with tight game play and huge moments you’ll desire to play over and over again, and the multiplayer is several of the genuine and most enjoyable all around. CoD4 is a grand game that is very much recommended.

6. Gears of War 2

Microsoft
Direct designer Cliff Bleszinski thought months before that Gears of War 2 was going to be “larger, enhanced, and more badass”, and currently that we include spent some time among it we have to agree by him. This is a superior and better game in every single feature. The campaign feels added epic and is full with jaw dropping moments. The multiplayer has been beefed up by fresh modes, and the adding of Horde mode as well as a guidance mode means that Gears of war 2 has lots to offer both on and offline. This is just a great video game.

7. Fight Night Round 3

EA
Fight Night Round 2 was one of our preferred Xbox video games of 05’ so Fight Night Round 3 had some sky-scraping expectations to meet. Remarkably, EA has delivered a boxing understanding that simply surpasses all that Fight Night Round 2 had to present. The game play is completely unique and the graphics on the Xbox 360 are incredible. Not just is this the best Xbox boxing game ever excluding it is as well one of the best Xbox game accessible.

8. Mass Effect

Microsoft
BioWare’s newest RPG heroic is at last upon us, however has Mass Effect been worth the lingering? Small answer: Yes. extended answer: ohhhYeeessss. Not only does it appear and sound unbelievable, however it also has a grand story line and offers a number of the top role playing essentials of any game yet. The battles aren’t relatively on the equal level of value as other aspects of the video game, but it is still plenty superior enough to create Mass Effect one of the best Xbox games.

9. Crackdown

Microsoft
Crackdown mixes Grand theft auto-style game play with unique abilities you’d more often than not only find in a Marvel superhero to make a video game that in fact stands out amongst the rising number of Grand theft auto wannabes. It looks beautiful, plays remarkably well, and is one of the most addictive and pleasing video games around. Playing multiplayer over Xbox 360 Live with friends is as well a total luxury that has completed this video.

10. Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise

Back while I first saw the E3 06’ recording of Viva Piñata, I knew it was leaving to be a cult most have. There is somewhat actually exciting about the Harvest-Moon-meets–Animal Crossing-meets–Pokémon–meets–The Sims sort of game play featured now. It looks incredible, is amazingly profound, and is one of the most addictive video games of the year. Don’t be fooled by the kid look, Viva Piñata is a grand video game that is extremely recommended for any Xbox 360 owner.
